Much of the sanding work required to build our models today involves the proper "scuffing" of the wood and plastic parts in preparation for gluing.
These #80 grit double sided, flexible boards are perfect for the job of giving the parts "tooth" for the glue to grab onto.
Critical tasks such as installation of laser cut formers into a fiberglass fuselage are a great application for the Scuff Boards. They are just flexible enough to attack the molded fiberglass and stiff enough to clean off burned edges of the laser cut ply parts. You can trim the ends with shears to adapt to each task.
Once you have some Scuff Boards on your workbench, you will find many other uses for these very handy and inexpensive tools. We certainly have in the BVM prototype shop.

Jets also have other special requirements, such as attaching thin fiberglass parts. The socket head panel screws (SHPS) from BVM may be just what's needed to accomplish the task and have the finished product look great. The very small dome shaped head with its .050 hex socket and black finish will appear very scale-like in most applications. The 3/8 long self-tap screw thread is just right for attaching thin fiberglass panels made from BVM's Poly Ply materials. DISCLAIMER: Occasionally our supplier substitutes silver screws for black. Aeropoxy Glue Cartridge
The ever increasing aerodynamic stresses we expect our models to endure calls for an Aerospace Grade adhesive product, and Aeropoxy is it. Aeropoxy is a thixotropic, slow cure, Aerospace Grade, 2 part epoxy system. It is the strongest and best gripping adhesive for all types of composite material bonding to other materials such as wood, plastic, and aluminum. Not for use with EPO Foams. QT Plus Glue Cartridge
Re-Formulated - QT Plus produces a bond that is almost as strong as BVM's Aeropoxy, but allows for quick assembly and field repairs. Set time is 4 - 5 minutes. Sometimes, it may be convenient to not use the mix nozzle. Just squeeze out a small amount of glue and blend the two streams of glue with a mix stick. Not for use with EPO Foams. Ultra Bandit Jet-Foam Cradle
The Ultra Bandit Jet-Foam Cradle is the largest in BVM's line of airframe handling products. The PVC tubes are longer (38") and the forward End Bracket is wider to carefully handle the inlet ducts without damage. For lots of handling, building, and transporting conveniences, the Ultra Bandit fuselage aft section is removable. This special Jet-Foam Cradle allows support of the front half (with the aft fuse section removed) to allow engine access, fuel tanks, etc. NOTE: Extra lengths (12 feet) of the 1-1/2 wide Velcro straps (BVM # PA-SR-0079) are available to assist in mounting the Jet Foam Cradle to a trailer shelf or floor for safe and soft transport. Heatshield
Heat Shield + brush-on ceramic coating High Temperature exhaust gases from both turbine and piston engines are sometimes unavoidably close to parts of the airframe. Tailpipes and mufflers contain the flame but the convective heat can be too much for the surrounding balsa, plastic, or fiberglass structures. Three brushed on coats of this water based, ceramic material, "Heat Shield" will protect those exposed parts of your model. Simply treat the inside of the engine cowl (piston engines) or the inside of the aft fuselage (turbine) and the surface temperature of the model will remain cool. In the unusual case of a turbine tailpipe fire on start up, you will have several seconds longer to extinguish it before any damage to the model occurs. Heat Shield comes in an 8 oz. can and is easily applied with a brush, clean up with soapy water. For extra protection the thickness can be built up with additional layers of fiberglass cloth and Heat Shield. Experimenters can purchase this product and do their own testing if the above information is insufficient.

O-Clips
| There are a number of devices on the R/C
market that help organize the installation of electronic and
pneumatic lines in your model. The "O-Clips" system will add a
new dimension to the task.  The "O-Clip" system is non-specific in regards to tubing diameter or wire size and allows grouping these components together where it is convenient,  Each package contains four each of three different sizes of "O-Clips", the appropriate size "O" rings (a few extra of each) and two rolled strips of 1/64" x 1/2" x 12" plywood. This group of 12 is sufficient for most medium to large size models. |

Fuel Vent Plug
Remove Before Flight. Handling your Kerosene powered model is a lot less messy if you plug off the fuel system overflow vent. You prevent the stinky spills in your vehicle and workshop. But, if you take-off with the vent still plugged, your engine will starve for fuel and flame out, usually one or two minutes into the flight.
