F-86 Super Flow Inlet Duct
Super Flow Inlet Duct for BVM F-86 63" ARF. In our efforts to constantly improve the efficiency of the BVM EVF powered airframes, we took a close look at the F-86 inlet duct. We found that with some contour changes and the inclusion of a center mounted spike we could gain some performance. The airflow from the nose cone inlet to the fan rotor is now much improved. This is all new tooling and both the static and flight tests confirm the performance increase. It's an easy to install, worthwhile upgrade to an EVF powered F-86. Installing this duct assembly in any existing BVM Sabre designed for EVF or D/F power will yield an additional 1 pound of static thrust. The weight addition is .6 oz.
