Much of the sanding work required to build our models today involves the proper "scuffing" of the wood and plastic parts in preparation for gluing.
These #80 grit double sided, flexible boards are perfect for the job of giving the parts "tooth" for the glue to grab onto.
Critical tasks such as installation of laser cut formers into a fiberglass fuselage are a great application for the Scuff Boards. They are just flexible enough to attack the molded fiberglass and stiff enough to clean off burned edges of the laser cut ply parts. You can trim the ends with shears to adapt to each task.
Once you have some Scuff Boards on your workbench, you will find many other uses for these very handy and inexpensive tools. We certainly have in the BVM prototype shop.

Originally developed for the BVM 84" Sabre Jet, this Jet-Foam Cradle works well for many medium size jets such as the Bandit, Electra, MiG-15, and F-100. The distance between the End Brackets can be adjusted on the PVC Tubes and the Velcro Straps will hold the model for field assembly, disassembly, and transport, as well as being very handy in the shop while you work on the model. Ultra Bandit Jet-Foam Cradle
The Ultra Bandit Jet-Foam Cradle is the largest in BVM's line of airframe handling products. The PVC tubes are longer (38") and the forward End Bracket is wider to carefully handle the inlet ducts without damage. For lots of handling, building, and transporting conveniences, the Ultra Bandit fuselage aft section is removable. This special Jet-Foam Cradle allows support of the front half (with the aft fuse section removed) to allow engine access, fuel tanks, etc. NOTE: Extra lengths (12 feet) of the 1-1/2 wide Velcro straps (BVM # PA-SR-0079) are available to assist in mounting the Jet Foam Cradle to a trailer shelf or floor for safe and soft transport.
